There is no more lockdown, restrictions, and curfew. We are all taking care of ourselves, remaining healthy just to be safe from this virus.
In 2021 I wrote a blog entitled, “What make Good Friday Good?” …….. ( https://jahknowsmystory.wordpress.com/2020/04/11/what-is-good-about-this-good-friday/ ) … it spoke so much of what was happening then and even though we were all in an unknown world, we made it to where we are today. It is amazing. If there is no miracle you cannot speak about, I believe making it to this year and see the countries open up slowly, it is a miracle, it is a story we can tell generations to come.
Today is good Friday. Three years of watching the passion of Christ and have not attended Good Friday services are passing slowly. How great is our God? He is an awesome God and only to Him belong glory, honor and praise.
Even though we all are celebrating the opening of the countries and the freedom we once lost, there are moments of sad winds that blow our way. We have lost family members, we have lost friends, we have lost great men and women of our time and also we have lost our very self in many ways. Then tell me……..
Why is Good Friday “good”?
When He, our Lord and savior said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
When our brothers, sisters, parents and friends have died in our hands. When we most needed them, they died and left us.
When our very close friends and family betray us and left us to die in hurtful feelings.
When we go around with harden hearts, not willing to forgive and be generous as God has been to us.
Is it Finished as HE cried out, “IT IS FINISHED?”
JOHN 19:30
The disciples watched as Jesus cried out, “it is finished.” But what was finished wasn’t Jesus’ life—it was everything separating us from God’s love.
What is that, what is holding you from talking to God, as a friend?
“God with us” became “God for us” by giving up His life to rescue us.
How much do I trust God?
Jesus suffered so that our suffering world could know God personally … that’s what makes Good Friday “good.”
Aww ….. when last did you say, “JESUS I LOVE YOU…..JESUS I TRUST YOU!”
Just like me you may be on a winding, but let us not derail….join me as I talk to God this Good Friday.
Jesus …… I grieve that the torture and sorrow You endured on your way to calvary and especially on the cross were necessary to save me, my family, our nation and most definitely …. humanity. You didn’t want me to be enslaved by fear, anxiety, or sin—so You sacrificed Yourself so that Love could win.

It’s Love that hung upon the cross and gave up everything to rescue me. “It is finished” was a cry of victory because You defeated everything that held me in captivity.
Because of Your sacrifice, I can experience intimacy with You forever. Thank You! Show me how to share Your love today and every day.
Jesus, you know everything, You know that I love you” John 21:17 …. I know you know me, you know my name, you know everything, You know I love you so much.
Use me to reach the world You died to redeem through my various encounters with you.
