About

I’m Lucas, others call me Kaka and on media they call me Jambo Jambo

My name is Lucas

I was born in Kenya by a Kenyan mum and a Rwandan/Burundian father. I am the wash belly of six children. I come from a big family where my grandpa had four wife’s and just imagine the number of children he had. I never saw any difference since from my childhood I wasn’t shown any. By saying that I will tell you I have four grandma. Mommy’s mum was the first, then Shush Anastasia, Shush Wayua and shush Beatrice. Three have gone to be with the Lord. I have one that I cherish so very much, Mwaitu Anasiata.

I am a missionary from the age of 19. Serving the people of God was my vybz from childhood. I love dancing and that is where the turn around come when I met those who led me to missionary life. I love young people, I taught them dancing, I was artistic with their dress codes. I wrote some of the poems they cited, I mixed music to fit in occasions and it led us to have the first recording for our church. Maria Goretti kids are big men and women today and I am still connected to them. I was their big brother and they were my young sibling. I cared and protected them with my whole self.

I am a graduate of the University of West Indies. I did BA in theology. While studying I was engaged in coordinating the youth in Kingston diocese and my artistic spirit kept developing. My love for the young people has led me to join The MultiCare Youth Foundation that cares by mentoring the youths in Jamaican society.
Blogging come up when I was on campus and since I tend to talk a lot, one of my friends encouraged me to put my words and experiences in writing. This is how I started writing blogs and not just writing it was therapeutic for me since I was during that time in a deserts experience.

As you can see, it is known as “JahKnowStory”…God Knows my story. All this came after I read the book by Immaculate Ilibagiza”Left to Tell” when she told her story. My missionary experience too is a story to be told and here I am telling it in my own words.

English isn’t my mouth, so feel free to tell me when you find miss spellings or something you aren’t understanding.

Welcome to my website JAHKNOWSTORIES.

At the moment I am working with the Diocese of Kingston Jamaica. I am upcoming radio presenter with Roots 96.fm. I love taking pictures and creating posters.
