January 7: What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

My thoughts on the concept of living a very long life are based on these two verses.

Romans 14:8 

For whether I live, I live to the Lord; and whether I die, I die to the Lord: whether I live therefore, or die, I am the Lord’s. – Therefore living a long life is only possible and appealing if I live a life worth something. Moreover,, there is no “something” better to live for than Christ. 

The reason being, that that Matthew 16:26 recommends this reflection in my life, “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” #bloganuary2024
