During my visit to Trinidad, I had many hours to myself. I could not stop listening to this song, “JIREH” – by Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine. I know you may have heard it, or maybe you have listened to it. It is a beautiful song. The title literally means – ‘God will provide’.

During my time alone, there were many questions I would have really wanted to ask God, but I remained trapped in my cocoon. There are moments I wanted to just walk out and be a madman on the roads of Trinidad, walking alone, talking to myself and eating wild fruits like birds. But this song just kept reminding me of His tremendous love and how He is all I need.

The Elevation Worship and Maverick City team are on point with many of their songs, but this one leaves my heart contented.

This song “Jireh” is soul-lifting. It will bless you. 

Every sentence that makes up a paragraph in the song is so well put together that it uplifts your spirit and heart.

Verse one states, “I’ll never be more loved/ Than I am right now/ Wasn’t holding You up/ So, there’s nothing I can do/ To let You down/ Doesn’t take a trophy/ To make You proud/ I’ll never be more loved/ Than I am right now (oh)/.”

Another line rings louder, “You would cross an ocean so I wouldn’t drown. You’ve never been closer than You are right now”.

Then the chorus powerfully states, “Jireh, You are enough, and I will be content. In every circumstance. You are enough.”

I am not sure what you are going through at this moment but go listen to this song and come back here and let me know the feelings that you honestly felt and the thoughts that lingered in your mind. Help me to cross the other side healthier.

This song, like many others, has been a reminder to me that God is everything I ever needed. My prayer and hope are that this song ministers to us, reminding us of the Father’s heart toward us and that He loves to take care of us.
