# bloganuary promp29: What tree would you describe yourself as?
When I the pront for yesterday I laughed. I never in my life thought to be a tree.
Early yesterday I saw one post from my friend a blogger and he stated,”Can I really be a tree? And if I ever be one, I’ll just want to be scaring people.”
This statement took me years back when I could not walk out at night when I visited the countryside becouse while walking the bushes could be blown by the wind and from far one could think it’s someone waiting to catch them. I loudly busted laughter……
If I was to be a tree, I would have wanted to be a tamarind tree. This afternoon I woke up and from my patio there is a tamarind tree loaded with tamarind. It’s a big tree that we have jerk-stove under it. The shade is awesome during summer and few birds have got their apartments on it. Just seeing how fruitful it was made me think how fruitful I want my life to be. Loaded to the top.

I would also love to have been a mugumo tree. According to mike shanah on his blog (what happened when Christian missionaries met Kenyan’s sacred fig tree) a mugumo is a kind of strangler fig (Ficus natalensis) that dominates other trees, growing into a giant that is seemingly immortal. These trees are traditional symbols of Kikuyu society. They are sites of religious ceremonies, homes to ancestral spirits, and places where elders can commune with Ngai, the Kikuyu god. To cut down a sacred mugumo is taboo.
While thinking about why mugumo I thought to myself. This tree must hv been really strong with deep roots and giant branches. Moreover people were attracted to it for worship and as a sign that there is supreme being bigger than the tree itself. I always dream to be a priest to attract people not to myself but to God supreme above me, supreme above everything.
